Formerly known as Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Energy is the state-owned petroleum company of Qatar. The company operates all oil and LNG activities in Qatar and our relationship with them spans more than 30 years.

We are extremely proud to have supplied Format ironmongery and a client specific master key control system to Qatar’s first large-scale solar power plant; the 800MW Al Kharsaah photovoltaic (PV) power project in 2023.

Subsequently, we have also supplied the (PV) sites located at Mesaieed and Ras Laffan.

Kahramaa (Qatar electricity & Water Co) – a relationship spanning over 40 years that continues today. Format Ironmongery is specified and used on many of the country’s substations that feed the new growth in Qatar. Specific high performance products manufactured and supplied to suit over-height doors and corrosive environments.

ADNOC Abu Dhabi – a relationship spanning over 20 years. Notably; Format products have been supplied to the twin towers office headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Qushawira Field Development Site and numerous regional sites.

PDO Oman (Petroleum Development) – a long-term relationship. Format high performance products have been supplied to the offices and development sites countrywide for many years.

The Hongkong Electric Company is one of Hong Kong’s two main electricity generation companies. Format products have been supplied to many of their substations and development sites countrywide from 1998 to present day.

The China Light and Power Company is one of Hong Kong’s two main electricity generation companies. Format products have been supplied to many of their substations and development sites countrywide from 2002 to present day.
