Colchester Garrison, is a major garrison located in Colchester in Essex, UK.

Format Ironmongery was supplied to over 100 buildings (including Merville Barracks) on the site which includes all ranks living accommodation, various stores and workshops, officers’ messes and a multi purpose sports centre.

This was a 5-year build programme, and we continue to service the garrison today with a focus on the unique key control system supplied across the entire site.

The Ministry of Education in Doha put its faith in Format many years ago and we are proud to have supplied their original building (now a 5* hotel) and more recently their new headquarters based in the AWQAF Tower in the West Bay area.

Ashghal is the Public Works Authority of Qatar headquartered in Al Dafna, Doha.

It governs the design and construction of multiple projects delivering and managing all infrastructure-related projects as well as public amenities of the state.

This includes Schools, Hospitals, Mosques, Health centres and Parks.

Format’s relationship with Ashghal spans more than 15 years and we continue to work within their framework on various projects throughout the State.

The Ministry of Education Headquarters is based in Bausher Heights, Oman.

Over a period of 3 years, we completed the project using Format stainless steel and Polished Brass products complimented with a bespoke key control system.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism Headquarters is based in Muscat, Oman.

Format supplied a full range of ironmongery products and a unique key control system throughout the building including heavy duty door controls for oversized doors and bespoke manufactured pull handles in PVD Brass finish to an intricate design requested by the client.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – one of Format’s initial overseas markets since the 1980’s Our products have been specified and supplied to many of the main institutions and Ministries in the Kingdom over the past 40+ years, some of which are listed below:

The Trinadian Police Service upgraded several of their Police Stations and contacted us to manufacture bespoke signage for them in a variety of sizes, materials and fixing options.

We supplied wayfinding, fire, emergency and hazardous signage to meet their requirements, examples of which are shown here.

Laikipia Airbase, Kenya. Working with G3 systems (UK), we delivered a package of Format Ironmongery and locking systems to the airbase under a phased delivery Programme to meet the client’s requirements..

The entire supply, including timber door sets, was inspected prior to leaving our premises for security requirements.

Working alongside the DAERA in Northern Ireland, we have supplied a variety of Format products to various sites and campuses in line with our client’s requirements.
